A Visiting high level Chinese delegation held discussions with women members of the constituent Assmbly on Thursday.
The delegation led be Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Netional peoples congress of the peoples Republic of Chaina Chen Zhili briefed about the participation of women in different government bodies in China.
It is said that a total of 40 per cent women are in government service in China.
Vice-chaiwoman of the Constituent Assembly Purna Kumari subedi led the team of Nepali women lawmakers in the discussion.
Quoting the chinese delegation Joint-secretaty at the parliament secretariat Bharat Gautam said that the chinese delegation remarked that empowerment process on Nepali women has been gradully and satisfactorily moving foeward.
